Hi, I'm Hana Williams and I'm a trainee Broadcast Journalist at City St Georges, University of London and a recipient of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) George Viner Memorial Scholarship, 2025 - 2026. My work focuses on inclusive, human‑centred reporting, bringing vital nuance and depth to stories. 

I currently work as a Traffic and Travel Presenter at Radio Jackie. I am also undertaking work experience at Times Radio.

Live Facial Recognition misidentifications higher under alerts measure - City News

As Live Facial Recognition cameras are rolled out across the capital, analysis by City News suggests the system looks very different depending on how you measure “false alerts”.
Across 203 deployments between September 2024 and September 2025, the Met recorded 10 false alerts. Set against 3,147,436 faces scanned, the force says the chance of a member of the public being misidentified is vanishingly small, around one in every 300,000.

I approach fast‑moving trends through a journalistic lens — grounding every piece in thorough research, clear scripting and strong editorial framing. I pair this with unique hooks, captions that drive viewers to our City News website and graphics that translate complex issues into accessible, engaging storytelling.

I am proficient at editing in Adobe Premiere Pro 2025, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Audition 2025. I film on a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, or an iPhone 15.
